HI, ex used to have the kids 2 nights a week but doesn’t anymore, effectively making me 100% care. He also rarely pays child support anymore as he’s a taxi driver and doesn’t earn much. And he’s terrible with money. He was evicted from his last place for not paying rent. I myself am physically and mentally incapacitated and unable to work but am on newstart. Do I tell CSA I have 100% care? They’ll assess him for more? And it’s already too high for him to manage. What should I do? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks

Yes, tell them and get them to collect money from him to ensure that he pays.

Definitely let them know because there needs to be record. Although if someone earns under a certain amount which I think is around $23kpa they are except from payments so I wouldn’t expect anything more in terms of money.

It’s good to keep it up to date, even if you don’t get more money.

I would always update any changes, even if they were for a month i.e. one of our daughters kept deciding to stay at mine instead of dads and would then go back to 50/50. I just felt it was good to have it recorded even though I knew I would still receive nothing.
