Helping single mums move forward after DV | Beanstalk Mums Podcast

Contents:

It is an unfortunate fact that many single mothers have experienced a relationship with domestic violence and are, understandably, struggling to move forward and create a happy, healthy life for themselves and their children.

An abusive relationship does not stop affecting you the minute you up and leave. It requires recovery and healing which takes time and is a difficult journey to undertake alongside everyday life as a single mother.

If you are feeling the strain, then this podcast will really help you.

My guest is Alison Howarth from 1800RESPECT … the national sexual assault, family and domestic violence counselling service.

Alison has more than 20 years experience working in the domestic and family violence sector and now oversees the clinical aspects of the support line as a Program Specialist. Every day, Alison supports 1800RESPECT’s counsellors on clinical matters, and helps the team to make sure best practice is used on each and every call.

So yeah, a pretty big responsibility all up!

But in this chat we focus on single mums and provide the support you need to navigate life after DV.

Helping single mums move forward after DV
