OZiHOUSE Group has three main programs, which are, OZiHOUSE, OZiHOMESTAY and OZiAU-PAIR. We are a professional homestay, au-pair and demi-pair provider based in Melbourne.
OZiHOMESTAY
We have two groups of students coming from different countries, which are under 18 years old and above 18 years old. Most of them come from Japan but we do accommodate students from Korea, Phillipine, Thailand, South American and more. They are looking to stay with a local family so they can learn English and experience cultural exchange. You will receive rent for hosting a student. This amount varies so please contact us for more information.
If you would like to become an OZiHOMESTAY host family, you should:
- Be able to provide a furnished personal room such as bed, desk and wardrobe.
- Prepare meals for the students. (Optional, depends on the package)
- Live within 60 minutes of travel distance to the CBD and accessible public transportation.
- Be an easy-going, patient and friendly family.
- Provide an English speaking environment hence needs a family that can speak fluent English.
OZiAU-PAIR
Our demi-pairs are young adults (aged 19 to 30), who are trained in Basic Early Childhood Education and First Aid. They have an elementary or intermediate level of English and have come to Australia either on a Working Holiday visa or for study purposes. They are searching for local families who are willing to host them by providing accommodation and full board. In return, they will perform childcare and simple house duties. No money is exchanged between demi-pair and the family.
OZiAU-PAIR is a platform which links demi-pairs with local families in Melbourne. They have a strict selection process and all demi-pairs must have a valid Working with Children card. Most of OZiAU-PAIR’s demi pairs are from Japan and surrounding countries. The selected demi-pairs receive training before living with their host family. Demi-pairs typically work 15-20 hours per week with two days off on a three-month contract. While Au-pairs work for 35-40 hours with two days off on a six-month contract.
If you would like to become an OZiAU-PAIR host family, you should:
- Have children under 13 years of age.
- Be able to provide a furnished personal room and meals for the demi-pair.
- Live within travel distance to the CBD and have accessible public transportation.
- Be an easy-going, patient and friendly family.
Provide an English speaking environment.
