Hi, I am a single parent to a lovely 2year old he is a wonderful child but i could do with some help. I have no friends or family support or no childcare at all he is home with me 7days a week and i also work from home. I havnt had a day out alone in two years or got out and i feel very frustrated and isolated. What steps can i take to make it easier I have just sorted out childcare for one day a week so hopefully i will get a small break then. I have no friends to meet up with or anything anymore as i left everything behind and am starting to rebuild from scratch. Any advice? Thanks Annon
If you go to a park with your son, you’ll find there are heaps of other mums with kids the same age there. And they love to chat 🙂 You’ll make mumma friends in no time, especially if you explain your situation, please are generally so kind.
Could join up to a team sport or yoga, Zumba etc… Doing something like an workout may help with your mental health. I found exercising and participating in a group workout session really helped my mental health and general well-being. Maybe you can also go for walks in the afternoons with your lo in the pram?
