when you go on ‘holidays’, do you always tell the other parent? we have an agreement that we will give a certain amount of notice to obtain the consent of the other parent for 5+ nights – however is 2-3 nights away in the same state, considered a ‘holiday’ that needs to be spoken about if it doesn’t interfere with the children’s time with other parent?

I would just let my ex know out of respect.

Just send a quick text and then you’re covered.

If it’s the same state, only 2-3 days, and not interfering with time, I would probably not bother the other parent with it.

That said though, I guess it really depends on how far you’re going, and if you’re going into a remote area. Perth and Broome are in the same state, but I probably wouldn’t travel that far without letting the other parent know!

I would notify the my ex. It just seems like the right thing to do.

I would also tell my ex. If he was taking the kids away for 2 or 3 nights, I’d want to know.
