What does a custody situation look like for a 2yr old, with father working mon-fri. What spent time could a judge order at trial. High conflict. No violence. Father currently sees child 3 times a week, no overnights at the moment

50/50 is what a court work towards if the father wants that.

Be careful of the advice that you take, especially advice such as the one above since it’s likely ill-informed (e.g. confusing equal shared responsibility with equal time) and from someone who has never actually been to Court for parenting arrangements. You’re on the right track with facilitating such regular contact. Overnights usually start sometime between 2-3 depending on the child and the situation. It’s hard to give advice because each case is different, however be careful what you agree to since what’s done might be hard to undo in the future

Thank you for your input, our upcoming court date is quite complex we haven’t even been to mediation which he filed an exemption that didn’t get accepted. Issue is paternity only, at the judges discretion to look at interim spent time. We consented out of court to paternity testing and the other side won’t vacate the hearing, so a bit daunting of what to expect. I just keep getting so many letters from his lawyer, I can’t keep up $$$$ wise

Not sure if he would get 50/50 being child is only 2 years old… usually when they are at school age…seems like he wants to waste a lot of money not doing mediation too…
