Found out kids dad was drink driving with kids in car. He is supposed to not drink within 12 hours of having kids and not drink when kids are with him. He had to go to police station for further test as he was over limit. He is still driving today…
Does the court care about this or would he get off with just a warning? I dont know what to do with this info…. sorry for long post

I am sure the courts would care about it, but it would also depend on the history .. it sounds like there is some.

This is horrifying. He should not even be allowed his kids if he drink drives with them .. wishing you the best of luck getting this sorted.

I have been through this. You have to do everything in your power to stop this happening. Take action in every way you can. Drink driving is inexcusable. But with his kids in the car!!!!! Yes I am sure the courts would care but unfortunately it is always a lengthy and costly process.

How did you go about it? I don’t want to get kids involved… I have to send kids due to orders. He told courts he has occasional drinks.
He’s still driving, so his reading must have been ok at the station. Don’t think he got charge so no proof. Can I pm you somehow?

If it’s in the order that he can’t drink within 12 hours of having the kids and not at all when he has them, how is this being enforced?
I would be pushing for an interlock in the car as clearly there are alcohol issues.
He was probably just over the limit and by the time he got to the police station he would had blown under for no charges to be laid.
My ex used to drink and drive all the time especially with his kids in the car – he didn’t care. He has lost his licence for the second time due to drink driving and trust me when he gets it back in 3 years he will continue to drink drive. You’re the one that has to push for the safety of your children as he won’t as if he did he wouldn’t drink while they are in his care. Good luck
