GuestHi, I have a 5 month old baby my husband has been cheating on me and I want to leave him but I am scared of how bad it would be to have all the expenses on my shoulder, childcare, milk, nappies plus my expenses energy, rent, water, food, my car’s payments etc. how much should he be giving me a weeks? He earns 60k a year. I am unemployed but I am starting a full time on the 2nd of November I won’t be earning much though. Help!!!! This whole situation scares me.

KeymasterRegister with child support and they will work out how how much money he needs to pay you every every fortnight. It is based on wages and care %.

KeymasterWhen you leave contact child support and centrelink and explain your new circumstance to find out what payments you are eligible for. It is hard financially as single mum but it is possible and better than staying with a cheating husband.
