GuestCan anyone help please?
Our daughter [single mum of a toddler, victim of DV, living in WA] is isolated from UK family due to Covid restrictions which prevent travel to support her.
She has important court-related business and desperately needs trustworthy home-based child care for approx 3 days; our grandchild is not in day-care so that’s not an option and friends regularly let her down at the last minute so she’s reluctant to ask for help.
We are exploring agencies but need to know if there are any government-related and/or private organisations that you may be aware of i.e. social workers who could help. Our time is short and we would appreciate some advice in case we’ve missed something.
Many thanks.

GuestFamily daycare – these are small numbers (usually 4-6) in the carer’s family home.
Local babysitting agency?
Nanny/aupair agency? (some will provide short term)
Could try contacting Centrelink support worker.
Domestic violence support (contact 1800respect – they can put her in touch with someone local to help)
