I have recently started dating again after 3 years of being single and the 14 years prior to that being with my husband. I have met a really great guy and we have agreed for him to stay over at mine on the weekend, however I am now totally freaking out about having sex with a new partner for the first time in 17 years. Any tips / tricks / advice / words of wisdom you can share with me?
Maybe don’t think about the sex part… usually when you concentrate on connection and being at ease in each other’s company the sex thing naturally happens… start off with food wine, and movie then a back rub… it’ll help you relax. And don’t forget condoms if you do decide to play.
I had this too and listened to all the advice that he likely felt just as nervous. I just tried to feel confident and enjoy it and it was just so good to be with another man (one who I really liked) and he made me feel really safe and comfortable. I too hadn’t been with anyone new since my husband of 13 years and three kids!
I totally understand what you feel and it is completely normal to feel that way. What I suggest is to be prepared physically and emotionally as well. Overall just relax and have fun. Don’t stress yourself too much otherwise, you might freak out when the perfect time comes.
